The Salar de Yyuni is one of the meccas that every great traveler should visit at least once in his life, one of those tacks that yes or no you should mark on the world map of your house. It is located in Bolivia, in the department of Potosí, and is the largest and highest salt desert in the world, with an area of 11,000 km2 at 3,600 meters above sea level.

To understand the Salar de Uyuni you have to leave many years ago when all this was a saltwater lake. The Tauca, the most recent lake, was here about 10,000 years ago.
