Mr. Miguel Mujica Gallo<\/strong> was the founder of the Gold museum back in 1968, it\u2019s currently located at the Santiago neighborhood, still owned and managed by the descendants of Mr. Miguel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After visiting the first museum, you will visit the National Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History of Peru<\/strong>, which was implemented inside a colonial Spanish mansion\u2014place of residence of the penultimate viceroy Joaqu\u00edn de la Pezuela\u20141821. This mansion is currently better known as la Quinta de Los Libertadores<\/em>\u2014because it was also a place of residence for both Sim\u00f3n Bol\u00edvar and San Mart\u00edn<\/strong>. This museum is located in the Pueblo Libre neighborhood and it\u2019s considered as the oldest museum of Peru, founded back in 1822.<\/p>\n\n\n
