That\u2019s the historical reason why Peru was granted <strong>the protected designation of origin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, only spirits made in the regions of Lima, Ica, Arequipa, Moquegua, and Tacna \u2014 and that meet Peru\u2019s <strong>strict production standards<\/strong> \u2014 can legally be called pisco. These rules preserve the legacy of a drink that <strong>will brighten your excursion through Lima\u2019s Historic Centre<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you enjoy strong drinks, <strong>try it neat<\/strong>. If you\u2019re after something more refreshing, <strong>go for a chilcano<\/strong>.
