Location<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It is located 45 minutes from the city of Cusco in the district of Huaro, province of Quispicanchi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-lookout-point-of-la-puerta-del-cielo\"><strong>3. Lookout point of \u201cLa puerta del cielo\u201d<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This tourist attraction was an initiative of Mr. Bernandino Cutir\u00e9 Mamani, who was the mayor of the Huaro district municipality. The main objective of this project is to encourage tourism in this district through a contemporary sculpture that perfectly blends with the scenic beauty of the area.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"463\" src=\"https:\/\/freewalkingtoursperu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/cielo-punku-una-puerta-al-cielo-cusqueno_1.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-37752\" srcset=\"https:\/\/freewalkingtoursperu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/cielo-punku-una-puerta-al-cielo-cusqueno_1.webp 700w, https:\/\/freewalkingtoursperu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/cielo-punku-una-puerta-al-cielo-cusqueno_1-300x198.webp 300w, https:\/\/freewalkingtoursperu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/cielo-punku-una-puerta-al-cielo-cusqueno_1-150x99.webp 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-4-how-to-reach-there\"><strong>4. \u00bf<\/strong>How to reach there<strong>?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can get to the viewpoint on your own or by hiring a tour departing from the city of Cusco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you&#8217;re traveling on your own, the starting point is the <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/eB6BYoDqyrf3cUvT8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Urcos bus stop<\/a>, and the fare costs 4 soles. Once you arrive in Urcos, the bus will drop you off at the &#8216;Templo de Canincunca&#8217; bus stop, from where you&#8217;ll need to walk for approximately 20 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have your own car, park it at Huaro&#8217;s main square and head towards Jr. Bol\u00edvar street, then walk for about 30 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alternatively, you can hire a local <a href=\"https:\/\/freewalkingtoursperu.com\/en\/tours-cusco\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tour operator in Cusco<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-5-additional-attractions-that-you-can-see-in-huaro\"><strong>5. <\/strong>Additional attractions that you can see in Huaro:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-5-1-canincunca-church\"><strong>5.1 Canincunca church<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Church was constructed in the 17th century on the high part of Urcos Lagoon. It&#8217;s known for the beauty of its frescoes and its altar covered in gold leaf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-5-2-juan-bautista-church\"><strong>5.2 Juan Bautista church<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It was built in the 16th century and is part of the &#8216;Route of the Andean Baroque&#8217; tour. The church is recognized for its frescoes, paintings from the Cusco School of Art, and an altar covered in gold leaf and embossed silver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-5-3-try-the-huaro-bread\"><strong>5.3 Try the Huaro bread<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Huaro is also known as the &#8216;District of Bread&#8217; due to the presence of several bakeries in the city.
