One displays an <strong>extensive collection of gold<\/strong>, silver and bronze artefacts, while the other showcases a <strong>vast array of weapons<\/strong> and uniforms from different eras and regions. On the first Sunday of each month, open from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.<br><em>Admission<\/em>: Adults \u2013 S\/6; higher education students \u2013 S\/3; school pupils \u2013 S\/1.50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-jose-carlos-mariategui-museum\">Jos\u00e9 Carlos Mari\u00e1tegui Museum<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most influential thinkers of republican Peru, Jos\u00e9 Carlos Mari\u00e1tegui, <strong>spent the last five years<\/strong> of his life at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Casa+Museo+Jos%C3%A9+Carlos+Mari%C3%A1tegui\/@-12.0639229,-77.038994,15z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0xe90cac19c0d665d4!8m2!3d-12.0639229!4d-77.038994?shorturl=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Jir\u00f3n Washington 1938<\/a>, in the heart of Lima. Born in Moquegua, <a href=\"https:\/\/mariategui.cultura.pe\/biografia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Jos\u00e9 Carlos Mari\u00e1tegui La Chir<\/a>a (1894\u20131930) wrote his most renowned work, <em><strong>Seven Interpretive Essays on Peruvian Reality<\/strong><\/em>, in this humble house.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large advgb-dyn-6a9ef801\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/freewalkingtoursperu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/museos-de-lima-jose-carlos-mariategui.jpg\" alt=\"museos de Lima\" class=\"wp-image-10325\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>A Marxist intellectual<\/strong>, Mari\u00e1tegui carried out intense work during his short life.
