HIGHLIGHTS
Meeting place
We will pick you up from your hotel at 9:30 or 14:30, applicable only to accommodations located in the Historic Centre of Cusco. If you’re staying in another area of the city, we will arrange a convenient and safe meeting point for you.
For more information, please read the “Details and Notes” tab.
Main Square
Prepare your camera and start looking for your first subjects in the Historic Centre of Cusco. In this urban space, you will find more than one location to capture excellent images, following the recommendations and tips from your professional photographer.
Sun Street (Loreto Street)
After the session at the square, you will walk to Intikijllu or Sun Alley, known for its impressive Inca walls. This street is perfect for capturing perspective shots and details of the stones used by the Incas.
Cathedral Atrium
The Cusco Cathedral, built on top of an Inca palace, is a photographic challenge. Pay attention to the details of its façade and find the perfect angle to capture its front in your shot.
Nazarenas Square
Your next photos will be taken at Nazarenas Square, located 300 meters from the Main Square. Here, you’ll find several points of interest, such as the San Antonio Abad Church and the colonial mansions Cabrera and de la Torre.
Stone of the 12 Angles
It is one of the most visited spots in Cusco and a challenge for your photographic creativity. Your photographer will find a unique approach to ensure you get the best shot with this stone, located on Hatun Rumiyoc Street, on the way to the San Blas neighborhood.
Cuesta de San Blas
The path that connects the Main Square with the artisan neighbourhood of San Blas is a delight for photography lovers. Keep your eyes wide open—your photographer will have the camera ready to capture the best shots of streets, houses, workshops, and galleries alongside you.
San Blas Viewpoint
From this vantage point, you won’t need a drone to take panoramic shots of the Historic Centre of Cusco and the San Blas neighbourhood. It’s the perfect spot for a panoramic photo with the San Blas neighbourhood in view.
Sapantiana Aqueduct
It is a colonial-era canal that is no longer in use, but the structure remains intact. The aqueduct features arches, steps, and different levels. It’s a great place to learn how to “freeze” the movement of water in your photos.
Seven Little Sheep Street
It is a narrow, stepped street lined with picturesque colonial buildings. Pay attention to the doors, windows, and flower pots that decorate the street.
Inca Palace of Qolqanpata
It was the palace of Manco Capac, the first Inca. Qolqanpata means “The terrace of the storerooms or granaries.” It is the perfect place to practice archaeological photography.
San Cristóbal Lookout point
It’s the perfect ending to the photographic tour. From San Cristóbal, you will get panoramic views of the Main Square and the entire city of Cusco.
Ending place
The tour ends at the San Cristóbal viewpoint in the Historic Centre at 12:00 or 16:30. From here, you can either walk back to your hotel or take a taxi.
We will send you the photos via email without losing their quality.
